Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule a tattoo appointment?

To book an appointment, you need to fill out the booking form on the site and you should pick my name; Pinar You will be contacted as soon as possible. I look forward to working with you to create a unique and personalized tattoo experience.

Do I need to leave a deposit to book an appointment?

Yes, a deposit is required to secure your appointment time. Deposits are non-refundable and it ensures that your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. It will be deducted from the total cost of your tattoo on the day of your appointment. Requiring a deposit helps me maintain a professional and respectful relationship with my clients and ensures they are committed to the tattoo process.

How much does a tattoo cost?

The cost of a tattoo varies depending on several factors such as size, complexity, placement. The price includes the percentage of the studio, the materials I use, the time I spent designing, and the effort I put into creating a beautiful tattoo for you. My appointment minimum is $350 and my current average quote is $800.

How to prepare for your appointment?

1. Get a good night's sleep: Being well-rested will help you to feel calm and relaxed during your appointment.
2. Stay hydrated and eat a good meal before your appointment: Getting a tattoo on an empty stomach can cause you to feel lightheaded or faint.
3. Avoid alcohol and drugs: Drinking alcohol or using drugs before your appointment can thin your blood, which can cause excessive bleeding during the tattoo process.
4. Wear comfortable clothing: You'll likely be sitting for an extended period of time, so wear loose and comfortable clothing that will allow the tattoo artist easy access to the area being tattooed.
5. Please don't put anything on your skin, like fake tanner or numbing cream etc. I only suggest that you begin moisturizing the area a week before.

Can I see the design before the appointment day?

Due to intellectual property rights, I don't share designs before your appointment. However, your design will be ready at the start of your appointment and I will revise it if you think it's necessary.

Can I use pain medication or anesthetic cream?

I don't recommend the use of pain medication or anesthetic cream. Pain meds can lead to more bleeding and potential side effects, while numbing creams may affect the tattoo stencil (a stencil is a guide that tattoo artists use to outline and transfer designs onto the skin) and how your skin takes in ink, possibly causing issues. However, the discomfort is usually mild, like a cat scratch. Trust the process for a smoother tattoo experience.

Do you do cover-ups?

No, just as my style does not apply to covering a design entirely.

Can I bring friends/families?

I kindly request that clients do not bring friends or family members to their tattoo appointments. I understand that getting a tattoo can be a significant moment in your life, and you may want to share it with loved ones. However, having additional people present can be distracting and may disrupt the flow of the appointment. Additionally, due to space constraints and safety concerns, we limit the number of individuals in our tattooing area.

Do you do finger tattoos?

I don't tattoo on hands (:palm, fingers): This is because tattoos on fingers are prone to fading and smudging due to constant movement and exposure to friction. The skin on fingers is also thinner and more delicate than other parts of the body, which can make it difficult for the tattoo to heal properly.

I don't tattoo on feet: Feet tattoos have a higher risk of infection, fading, and deformation due to the constant friction and movement in that area. Additionally, feet tattoos are more prone to fading and distorting due to the nature of the skin and constant movement. Also ears, neck, face, genital areas and on scars.

Can I get a tattoo if:

I'm Under the Age of 18?

No. Tattooing minors is illegal. Most jurisdictions require individuals to be at least 18 years old. We adhere to these laws strictly.

I'm Pregnant or Breastfeeding?

No. It is not advisable to get a tattoo while pregnant or breastfeeding due to potential health risks. Hormonal changes during pregnancy can affect skin sensitivity and healing.

I Have Sunburn or Tanned Skin?

No. Tattooing over sunburned or tanned skin can lead to complications and affect the quality of the tattoo. Wait until the skin has fully healed.

I'll Be Going on a Vacation Involving Prolonged Sunlight/Water Exposure?

Possibly. Tattoos need time to heal, and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or water can hinder the process. Both can increase the risk of infection and affect the quality of the tattoo. If you plan to be in direct sunlight or water for an extended period, it is advisable to postpone getting a tattoo until after your vacation to ensure proper healing and minimize the risk of complications.

I'm Unsure About the Design or Placement?

Consider postponing. It's essential to be sure about your design and its placement. Take your time to avoid regrets and ensure a positive tattoo experience.

I'm Allergic to Tattoo Ink or Latex?
Possibly. Allergic reactions can occur. Please inform me of any known allergies, and I can use suitable supplies or take precautions to minimize the risk of a reaction.

I Have Skin Conditions or Infections?
No. Tattoos should not be done over active skin conditions, infections, or irritated skin. Wait until the skin is fully healed before considering a tattoo.

I'm Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs?
No. I do not tattoo individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Both can impair judgment, increase bleeding, and hinder the healing process.

I Have Certain Medical Conditions?
Possibly. Some medical conditions may pose risks, and it's crucial to inform your tattoo artist beforehand. Conditions such as hemophilia, heart conditions, and autoimmune disorders may require medical clearance.

I'm Currently Taking Antibiotics or Cortisone?

Possibly. Certain medications can affect the healing process. I recommend you to consult with your doctor and please inform me about any medications you are taking.

I'm Prone to Keloid Scarring?

Possibly. Individuals prone to keloid scarring may want to reconsider getting a tattoo, as keloids can develop during the healing process. I recommend you to consult with your doctor and please inform me about any medications you are taking.

I've Recently Had a Surgery or Medical Procedure?

It depends. I recommend you to consult with your doctor and please inform me about recent surgeries or medical procedures. Healing times may need to be considered.
